About the Owner

My name is Veronika, but my friends just call me Vroni.
I'm studying Computer Game Studies (Computerspielwissenschaften) in Bayreuth (Bavaria, Germany). My main focus is production and project management, I love organizational and data-driven work. Before my masters I studied computer science and comparative literature in Innsbruck (Austria).

Since January 2026 I am a working student at Pixel Maniacs in Nuremberg, Bavaria, where I support with marketing and BizDev tasks. Check out their awesome games!

I am generally very interested in the German games industry, attend events and love talking to people about their creative projects. In 2025 I started giving talks at events, my collection so far:

In March 2026 I founded GAMEinander — an association from and for german games-students (like myself) to connect, make projects together and support each other in our careers.

I am an avid supporter of GAME:IN (page in German) and FemDevsMeetup, please go check them out! ❤

Why do you do this whole thing? (on a personal note)

I have an anxiety disorder. Gathering information helped and still helps me get around in an industry that was really overwhelming in the beginning. So it's mostly a coping strategy (at least it was in the beginning), but over time I just developed a strong interest in the industry, all the projects and the wonderfully creative people in it.
For me knowledge creates security, which creates courage and reduces my feelings of fear.
Also having this knowledge is kinda cool?
I like data.

I mostly use parts of the system as a personal networking tracker to keep conversations, contacts, and events connected in a meaningful way and for future reference.

After having this thing for my own for a while I wanted to give something back to a community that was so welcoming to me and still is. Thanks :) ❤

If you use LinkedIn — feel free to send me a connection request. If you can, please add a small note on where you came from (something like "database" is enough).

If you want to talk further, please shoot me an e-mail:

Or catch me at one of the events I'll be going to next:

English and German

This site is in English, because of some people outside my German-bubble. But there may be some German words slipping through here and there.
